Connectivity
The OIS Interface Manager controls interfaces between the Quick-Req®/Quick-Results™ Client and host systems, including the TELCOR Billing Information System. It captures HL7 results or HL7 with PDF files, processes and encrypts the results and then sends them via the Web for distribution to the Quick-Results™ Client. It also receives account and order information from clients, converts the accounts and orders to HL7 transactions and sends the account and order data to host system(s). The account data and PDFs of the requisitions and ABNs are then automatically sent to the TELCOR Billing Information System. It includes extensive interface configuration, management and support functions. One OIS Interface Manager supports all host interfaces implemented at the laboratory.
Interfaces to Host Systems help streamline data flow between information systems used to support the Outreach Program of the laboratory. Host System interfaces are available for:
- Results from LIS
- Results from Pathology System
- Patient Account to HIS or LIS
- Patient Account from HIS or LIS for identifier matching to Order
- Order Interface to HIS or LIS
- Procedure Master File Interface from LIS
- Provider Master File Interface from LIS
- Patient Account to TELCOR Billing Information System
- PDF of Requisition and ABN to TELCOR Billing Information System
In addition to host system interfaces for the laboratory, TELCOR offers two types of interfaces for the physician practice:
- A Practice Management System HL7 interface to keep patient records up-to-date on Quick-Req®
- Results can be forwarded to the EMR with an HL7 result interface to maintain a comprehensive electronic medical record
