POC Implementation Analyst

TELCOR Inc, a nationally recognized innovator in the healthcare informatics industry, is looking for an energetic, focused, motivated team member to work as an Implementation Analyst, providing excellent customer care for TELCOR’s point of care product line.
The Implementation Analyst works with the assigned customer to implement TELCOR’s Point of Care Testing (POCT) software remotely from corporate offices in Lincoln, Nebraska. This includes, but is not limited to, establishing interfaces from a variety of testing devices deployed outside the clinical laboratory to the customer’s designated information system along with all of the management tools included therein. This includes working with a team of individuals at a customer account not limited to, point of care coordinators, laboratory management, IT, network specialist, etc.
The TELCOR Point of Care (POC) Product Line:
TELCOR’s point of care software addresses the need for cost effective integration of laboratory results performed on devices remotely located outside the clinical laboratory into the laboratory/clinical information system. As a byproduct of this integration, the product also provides full data management for operator, device and patient/QC results to reduce the labor needed to manage a point of care testing program.
POC Implementation Analyst Responsibilities
- Follow documented work plans to implement TELCOR POCT products at customer sites
- Interview customer to determine current workflow and provide configuration options to best meet the customer’s needs
- Establish regularly scheduled conference call with the customer and lead, document and distribute call information in written minutes
- Establish communication from POCT devices to QML using third-party hardware and software tools
- Perform structured remote training on use of the TELCOR POCT products
- Discuss and document order and result codes required for posting results to the customer’s information system
- Perform testing to the customer’s information system
- Support the customer during their interface validation activities
- Coordinate all go-live activities and monitor the customer’s activities for six weeks post live
- Perform documented post-live activities and customer training in preparation for transfer to support
- Complete support transfer documentation
- Record time (hours) spent on customer’s implementation activities in time recording software
- Document/update in issue tracking when an implementation issue presents that is outside the scope of normal implementation activities
- Complete implementation activities in time recording software as required for customer billing
- Implement add-on device type(s), add-on facility(s) and interface conversions as assigned
- Develop and/or execute internal training materials for the POCT team as assigned
- Develop end-user software troubleshooting materials as assigned
- Update Device Tips and LIS Tips as applicable
- Escalate problems according to the established POCT escalation procedure
- Participate in the after-hours, on-call customer support rotation
- Participate in continuing education
- Participate in all necessary POCT team meetings
- Follow all defined POCT processes and procedures
- Respond to unscheduled implementation calls in a professional, friendly, timely and helpful manner
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate would have:
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree
- Licensed clinical professional (Medical Technologist or Technician, RN, RRT, etc.)
- Strong PC computing experience (e.g. Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems)
- Clinical laboratory software experience
- Verbally engaging, energetic, team player
- Good interpersonal skills — listening, speaking and writing
- Good presentation/instructional skills — verbal and written
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Work effectively in an open office and team environment
