Position Overview
The Administrative Specialist is responsible for providing detailed, organized, quality high-level administrative support while upholding and perpetuating strict confidentiality for all company and customer information. Responsibilities include managing information requests, performing clerical functions, such as preparing correspondence, receiving information by telephone, e-mail, facsimile and other means, filing and tracking of multiple types of documents, and performing accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, quality management of accounts receivable, including service to customers, company sales activities, collections, accounts payable and requisition processes, and communicating with customers and coworkers to provide information and assistance, as well as other tasks and responsibilities to further assist the department, coworkers, customer and supplier relationships, and operational management.

Requirements
- Associate degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) and at least 2 years of previous work-related experience
- Knowledge and experience in accounting, finance, general business operations or other related areas
- Detail oriented
- Pleasant demeanor, good-natured, cooperative attitude
- Intermediate-level computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office® programs and Web literate
- Proficiency in all aspects of business writing
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
- Fluent in written and spoken English (North America) language

- Experience with operating multi-line or business model telephones, screening and forwarding telephone calls, providing business-related information, taking messages

- Ability to work independently and within guidelines, and ability to develop specific goals and plans and execute those plans competently and with a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology
